How to enable student groups

From the course Front Page, click the Actions menu at the top right and select Edit Settings from the menu to open the Course Settings page. On the Course Settings page, scroll down to the Groups section and click to expand it.

Click the dropdown menu to select the Group mode you prefer to use:

      Separate groups: Each group member will only be able to see other students within their group.
      Visible groups: Each group member is confined within their group, but can also see other groups.

To apply this group setting to all course activities by default, adjust the Force group mode setting to ‘Yes’. Please note: To enable filtering of detailed student quiz attempts this setting must be set to ‘Yes.’

Click the Save and display button at the bottom of this page to apply your changes.
